I found this incredible bookcase at Goodwill for 50 bucks and knew that it was just what Hannah's room needed. It was more than I wanted to spend but I knew we couldn't even buy the wood for that price. I must say that the young guy working the counter was super nice because I knew it would fit in my van (I measured) with about 2 inches to spare (I had to call my mom to pick up the kids, they wouldn't fit. I love you mom) and he dragged the whole thing out in the rain and when it fit he said a very strong word to express his amazement. So apparently he really didn't believe it was going to fit and yet he was nice enough not to say anything while dragging it around. In the rain.
After giving it a lot of sanding- priming- painting love, Jeff also felt that it would not make the corner to enter Hannah's room but dragged it up the stairs with me anyway- just to try it. I must say that he wasn't quite as quiet about his doubts as Goodwill Guy but then he also didn't say a dirty word when it fit.
Oh, I also found the bunk bed that is peeking out of the side of the photo at His House. The nice guys knocked the price down to $85 dollars after I asked if I could pass on the creepily stained mattresses that came with it. (Sooo gross). I will post new pictures soon because Jeff has painted her walls pink and I am working on the curtains. Just a side note, Hannah is such a deep sleeper. I totally put that bunk bed together while she was sleeping. She woke up just briefly when I moved her to the top bunk.

That bookcase would scare me in my house... I just see that ladder turned around and used to climb up to the VERY top of the shelf... I'm excited to see the finished product!
