My beautiful little neice!

Sometimes I just want to remember the little stuff
Starting to think about unhappy things that are out of my control so here is a blog about the little people, who live with Jeff and me, who like to exert their influence on their enviroment in ways that make me smile.
I think we baby him. : ) Still feeling sad because I wish all kids had what my kids have. Food, a sense of safety, a home, love. Whew, sorry to make this so heavy, better stop here.
A really big bookcase
After giving it a lot of sanding- priming- painting love, Jeff also felt that it would not make the corner to enter Hannah's room but dragged it up the stairs with me anyway- just to try it. I must say that he wasn't quite as quiet about his doubts as Goodwill Guy but then he also didn't say a dirty word when it fit.
Oh, I also found the bunk bed that is peeking out of the side of the photo at His House. The nice guys knocked the price down to $85 dollars after I asked if I could pass on the creepily stained mattresses that came with it. (Sooo gross). I will post new pictures soon because Jeff has painted her walls pink and I am working on the curtains. Just a side note, Hannah is such a deep sleeper. I totally put that bunk bed together while she was sleeping. She woke up just briefly when I moved her to the top bunk.
Was I really that bad?
The other day I was feeling a little irritable and I guess the kids noticed because as I was doing my hair, Hannah came in and silently handed me a lanyard that had a big fat smiley face hanging from it. I totally got the hint and wore it while we were in the car. Later that day I come across a picture that Jacob had made.
How sweet! He wrote everyone's name in our family!

J for Jacob
I really need to teach Hannah how to tie her shoes but I just really don't want to do it. Not sure why, just don't wanna. (Honestly, I am kind of hoping that my mom will eventually do it. She played monoply with Hannah for crying out loud). But that wasn't what I really wanted to blog about, just putting it out there. I haven't pushed Jacob on learning his letters, he wasn't really interested but he has been watching Hannah writing words and now he wants to do it too. Funny thing, he likes to write the names of trains after he draws them. Unfortunately, there are no trains named Jacob. So most of the time he can recall how to spell Henry and Thomas but when we talk about how to spell his name, he is stuck after the J.
