Big news!

I am going to complete a marathon next year! I am very excited about it. The marathon is in Myrtle Beach and it is February 14th. My parents decided that they would like to do it also. We are using a program for non-runners and the actual training program will begin the last week of October. Until then we will just be getting a little more in shape. Instead of posting a picture of my running shoes I decided to go with something cuter.

Our Weekend in Myrtle Beach part 3- the mall

One of our pass the time spots is Books-a-million. It has a train table for Jacob and Hannah, and a whole lot of stuff for Jeff and me to browse. Outside of the BAM by Mark and Carol's house also has this really cool play spot for smaller kids.

Our weekend in Myrtle Beach Part 2- the paddle boat

Mark took Hannah with him Saturday morning so Jeff and I took Jacob out in the paddle boat to feed the swans, ducks, and goose?

Our weekend in Myrtle Beach- part one

We spent the weekend with Jeff's family and had a great time. Hannah took the picture with Uncle Jason, Aunt Helen, and me in it. She is quite the little shutter bug.

Jacob's first bike

We have drama at our house. Alot of it. Jacob easily becomes very unhappy with any number of things in his life which he expresses in a loud tantrum, and not to be outdone, Hannah has become accomplished in breaking into spontaneous tears over pretty much anything at all. Which led me to the conclusion that two kids cannot share one bike. So, we got this bike for him today and he was so excited while I was putting it together that he ran to the pantry and pulled out some plastic ware to stow in the seat.

At the park

Here are pictures from the park. Hannah is starting to mother Jacob and he is not thrilled (as seen in her helping him off the slide). She also took the picture of me and Jacob about to go down the slide.

Walking weather

Today it finally cooled off enough to enjoy being outside so we went for a walk. It took over an hour to go less than half a mile but we stopped twice (once for snacks and to play, and once to visit a friend's dog). It is nice to have days when we don't have to be anywhere.

This morning

Hannah has butterfly pj's, fairy princess pj's, and cupcake pj's but her sleepwear of choice is one of my shirts. oh well.

Jacob is a huge waffle fan for breakfast, it is actually pretty much a requirement of his if he is going to have a civil morning. Today he asked for more waffle after he polished off his first one, but I suspect it was a trick. While I was fixing another one he snuck over to my spot and started eating my raisin bran. He wasn't budging either, I finally got another spoon and we ate together.

Recent photos!

Okay, so technology is not my strongest suit ( I think Martin got all of those genes) but now that I know how to put pictures from the camera on to the computer (hey, we lost the software I was used to ) and then put them on our blog I am posting some more recent photos. Enjoy!

Welcome to our new blog

Hi! We decided to start this blog to be able to keep everyone a little more connected to our family's comings and goings. Hope you enjoy!
