Another conversation with Hannah

Just to let you know what I go through some days.

Hannah: Today I was talking and sounded like Audrey (a girl in her class).

Me: Oh?

Hannah: Like when I talk like... this. Like this. Like when I talk like this. This. That. Like that... like that...that, that, that. Like this. Like this....

It went on for much longer than I would like to admit.

This is serious

I haven't blogged in a long time and I am very sorry. I am trying think of why and I know I have good reasons but can't remember them at the moment. I can't find my camera to download any pictures so here is Mr Yuck for ya'll. A pharmacist came to Hannah's preschool to talk with them about medicine safety etc. etc. Then I took the kids to my mom's house so that we could can beans and it was a very long day. I was driving the kids home at like 8:30 which is an hour past their bedtimes and we were all tired. Hannah decides to test Jacob's poison safety knowledge.

Hannah: Jacob, what would you do if you saw a bag of candy on the table and a bag of medicine and they both looked the same.

Jacob: I would eat the candy!

H: but they both look the same, you don't know which is which

J: I would find the candy and eat it!

H: (getting a little tense) but you don't know which one is the candy

Me: Hey, Jacob don't you think you could ask me for help?

J: yeah!

H: Good. Now, What would you do...

( okay to save on typing imagine the exact same conversation VERBATIM only exchange the bags of candy/medicine for juice/soap and then pieces of candy/pieces of medicine.) After the third little scenario, Hannah asks Jacob if he is ready for a next one and he says no. She gets a little huffy and I say that Jacob has played three times already and is done with the game.

Hannah coldly replies: This is NOT a game.

Bed time.
